This collection consists of correspondence between John Pratt and his publisher, editor, military friends, and colleagues and critics pertaining to Pratt's book entitled "The Laotian Fragments." There are also early drafts of the first version of the novel, and all his notes, clippings, and outlines for the text of the novel. There are also photographs taken by Pratt in Thailand and Laos which corroborate events portrayed in the novel. Finally, records kept by Pratt describing the lengthy process of getting military clearance to have his novel published are included with the collection.
